Bernice TerryJANESVILLE — Bernice G. "Bunny" Terry, 79, died Sept. 28, 2007, at Evansville Manor. Bunny was born on March 19, 1928, in Chicago Heights, IL, daughter of Herman & Harriet "Hattie" Mary (Bergin) Dionne. She married Martin Emery Terry on April 7, 1956, in Chicago Heights, IL; Martin died on Sept. 28, 1994. Bunny was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she volunteered much of her time, as well as the Janesville Literacy Council and the Women of the Moose. She also helped out at the ECHO Pantry and worked the Bingo games at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home. Survivors include her son, Michael Terry of Janesville; her 3 daughters: Mary (Terry) Wunderlin of Thompsons Station, TN, Carole (Michael) Eastlick of Charlotte, NC, and Nancy (Michael Roberts) Weins of Janesville; 4 grandchildren: Eric & Ryan Wunderlin, Lindsay Weins and Brett Eastlick; 3 sisters: Eileen Dionne of Chicago Heights, IL, Marie Hand of Chicago Heights, IL, and Theresa "Tessie" (John) O'Brien of Sauk Village, IL; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary (Ray) Grandle of Florida and Ginny Deyer of Cincinnati, OH; 2 brothers-in-law, Ken (Grace) Terry and Jack (Jutta) Terry, both of Janesville; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Martin, Bunny was preceded in death by her 5 brothers: Joe, Dan, Herman, Jim and Ed Dionne. The family would like to thank all her friends and relatives for their care and comfort; also Mercy Manor, Evansville Manor and HospiceCare Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Fr. Stephen Umhoefer presiding. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the CHURCH for one hour prior to the funeral Mass, from 9 until 10 a.m. Brian Hansen of HANSEN FUNERAL HOME, (608) 752-8800, is handling arrangements. Memorials to Arthritis Foundation and ECHO would be appreciated by the family.
