JANESVILLE—The UW-Rock County women's basketball team extended its undefeated conference record Monday night against UW-Manitowoc with a 109-47 win.

Janesville Parker product Julia Dement scored 22 points on 11 made field goals to pace the Rattlers (6-1, 6-0 WCC). Rock County generated 33 turnovers in the game and scored 46 points from them. A tenacious, pressing defense has become a hallmark of Rock County. The Rattlers have forced more than 200 turnovers in the seven games they've played this season.

In addition to Dement's 22 points, five Rattlers scored at least 10 points: Kayce Chesebro, another former Parker player; Leeanna Kinney, a former Evansville Blue Devil who had six steals in Monday's game; Cassondra Gestrich from Orfordville Parkview; Fort Atkinson's Lexie Weigand; and Kiki Smith, a former Beloit Turner player.

Both Rock County's men's and women's teams will be in action tomorrow against Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Ill.
