JUNEAU, Wis. - A driver involved in a crash that killed an Iowa motorcyclist faces a charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.

Darcy L. Schehr, 21, of Hartford was charged in Dodge County Circuit Court as the result of an accident around 8 a.m. Sunday that killed Daniel D. Christ.

Christ, 40, had attended the international rally of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America at the Washington County Fair Park in West Bend. He was president of his Iowa City, Iowa, chapter of the group.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Department said Schehr was driving east on state Highway 60 in the town of Rubicon when she crossed the center line and her car hit the motorcycle.

Christ, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Schehr was not injured.

Her preliminary hearing was scheduled Aug. 2. She was released on $2,500 bail.

The BMW group's rally ran from Thursday through Sunday morning.

A Florida couple on a BMW with sidecar were killed in a crash Monday morning in the Washington County town of Addison.
