LYONS-Members of the Walworth County Fugitive Task Force captured a man about midnight Monday wanted for fleeing the scene of a Saturday accident that left two Burlington residents hospitalized.

According to the sheriff's department, Christopher M. Driscoll, 28, of Lake Geneva, collided head-on with Sylvester J. Czerwinski, 52, and Kathleen M. Czerwinski, 55, about 5:35 p.m. Saturday at Highway 120 and Krueger Road.

As officers arrived and gave first aid to the Czerwinskis, Driscoll left the scene on foot, leaving his 2003 GMC utility pickup truck behind, according to police.

Both Czerwinskis were hospitalized. Kathleen suffered multiple broken bones. Her condition is unknown. Sylvester was treated and released.

Police tried using dogs to track Driscoll without success. He was apprehended Monday at a home in the town of Delavan, Undersheriff Kurt Picknell said.

Driscoll faces potential charges of felony hit-and-run causing injury and driving without a license causing great bodily harm. He also received four related traffic citations.

Driscoll had seven outstanding warrants for his arrest and remains in the Walworth County Jail.
