WHITEWATER-Apparently, word that Johnny Lechner-who has attended UW-Whitewater as a full-time student for 13 years-will be graduating Saturday was premature.

The 30-year-old student has decided to stay in school for another year.

"Unfortunately, I was living it up just a little bit too much," Lechner said. "Partying at every major college in the Midwest."

Lechner said he was so busy partying he forgot to complete paperwork needed for commencement.

"I had a discussion with my advisor (Tuesday) and he said that there is no way that I can participate in the graduation ceremony on Saturday," Lechner said.

During his years on campus, Lechner has been working toward three major and four minor degrees.

"I guess, it looks as if I'll be adding one more year," Lechner said. "Let the party begin."
