WALWORTH-The Walworth County Public Works Department has announced that maintenance will be performed on roads during the week of June 18.

The roads are as follows:

Highway M-5.6 miles, from County P to Highway 89.

Highway C-5.6 miles, from County X to Highway 67 in Sharon.

Highway B-2.6 miles, from east of Walworth to Linton/Academy Roads.

Highway K-2.4 miles, from County X to Highway 14.

Highway 67-6.2 miles, from Highway 14 to east village limits of Sharon.

As a note of caution, this maintenance includes, but is not limited to, chip sealing, a process in which a layer of oil is placed on the road and then covered with a layer of small stones or "chips." After this process is completed, a 35 mph speed limit will be enforced for one week to allow adequate time for the surface to set fully.
